Clay - One Month

Time flies when you're having fun!

That little Clay is rounding out! Woohoo. Mama has been working hard on that.

Date night! Egees and a walk in the park.

Dallin has been going to
Phoenix for therapy for three days a week. Clay and I get a lot of together time. Grandma Wengert is so nice and invites us over for dinner every night. Clay and I always have Chico walk us back to the casita to protect us from the rattle snakes and scorpions.

His hands are so spastic. Clay is constantly hitting himself in the face. He wouldn't get a wink of sleep without being swaddled.

That face.

Merry is this little bulldog that Clayton c-sectioned just a few days before Clay was born.

She was the only one to live past a week. We had to do a photo shoot.

Good morning stretches.

I'm a happy boy!

Ready for church.

Great Grandpa Wengert and Carol came for a visit.
Four generation picture!

Great Grandpa with Clay

It was so good to see them.

FB Update: 1/23/14

Dallin's FB Update from 1/23/14.

A quick update on us:

Last Tuesday Clay turned 3 weeks old. He is a wonderful blessing in our lives and really a great baby. He is not terribly fussy and is a pretty good sleeper. He is healthy and getting bigger by the day. Amy is healing up very well in her recovery after her C-Section. She is a wonderful mom and Clay is such a lucky baby to have her as his mother. We love him and he is doing great. He reminds us of all we have to be thankful for.

Also, in Wengert Family news, my sister Tara (She and her husband were the ones who started this Facebook Page) had her 3rd baby on Tuesday, January 21st. They have all very handsome boys and his name is Shad Wengert Hendriksen. Both Tara and Shad are doing well and we are very happy for them. My sister-in-law Teddi Wengert is up next and is due in April.

As for me - therapy is going well. I am now only going 3 days a week instead of 4 days and working on the other days. We are doing a lot of testing to see my improvements since starting in the outpatient therapy. Things for our transition to Utah at the end of February are going smoothly and we’re excited to get back to our life there. I’ll still have speech therapy sessions there but things are going great.

Thank you for your love and support. We are so grateful for it!

Clay - 3rd Week

Another wonderful week with this beautiful babe.
Everyday we go to Grandpa and Grandma Wengerts (next door) and see how they are doing and give them some loving from baby Clay. Laura got him his very own bounce or "jiggle bottom" as she calls it. He loves that. Clay sometimes giggle in his sleep. Just before Clay's bath I put a towel in the dryer so when he's done he can have a nice warm towel.

This picture is worth a thousand words!

Baby rolls!!

Trying out the binky. It's half the size of his face.

Foot up? Check. Okay now I'm ready for my day.

Toy from Great Aunt Lisa. Another binky that's too big for my mouth.

Love these lips.

Waking up face!

I think I'll take it easy today. Maybe take a few naps, eat, who knows maybe go for a walk.

Clay - 2nd Week

This week has been full of lots of loving on our little man.

Little sleepy babe.

Clay sleeps pretty well at night, at least I think so. We feed him around 10PM and 2AM and then again around 6AM on a good night. Since the Doctor is still concerned about Clay's weight, though, I can't let him go any longer than 3-4 hour stretches. So I haven't gotten a really good stretch of sleep in, but I take naps during the day. My incision is feeling better a little at a time.

He loves the warm bath, but it took him a few minutes to realize it.

Washing the car with Dad. Thanks to the awesome baby carrier from Rachel.

He slept the whole time. :)

We got these from the Wisconsin baby shower. So nice!

That's adorable.

He LOVES to have a foot in the air.

Love those little faces.

Sunbathing. Clay's Doctor says Clay's bilirubin levels still aren't right so we had to get MORE jaundice tests. Clay took it like a champ. It's nice to be in Arizona where we can do this.

Clay - First Week!

This first week with Clay has been incredible. We have been so blessed with this sweet little boy. My mom came out from Wisconsin to help for this first week and it was good to have her here.

We love to walk by and see Clay's little feet in the air or he will be in the car seat under the cover and all the sudden we will see thing foot jolt out and stick up. So cute.

We got a little surprise on the day we got home from the hospital from Cousin Katie Gruber. (Jefferson)
We LOVE it!

It's really big!

We also were able to celebrate our birthdays with delicious funfetti cake!

Little heavenly bundle!

Tiny hands.

Clay's first Doctor appointment. Clay had to get more bilirubin tests done. He thinks Clay may have jaundice. The Doctor is just a little concerned about Clay's weight so we have another weight check appointment soon.

Lots of cuddles.

More cuddles with Grandpa Wengert. They both love naps!

I didn't get a chance to get my pre-labor pedi so I got one this week :)

Love all of his cute faces!

My favorite thing is to wake him up by unswaddling him slowly and watching these cute and funny faces.

Look at that cutie!!

1 week new!
